This is a must read for all Americans - an up close and personal account of duty and sacrifice by graduates of the U.S. Naval Academy in Iraq and Afghanistan. You'll stand a little straighter when you mingle with these remarkable fellow citizens. Tom Brokaw

Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 8:49PM Anita Brenner authored a column sharing her experience as a mother of a fallen classmate returning to Annapolis for the Class of 2002's ten year reunion. It was picked up by the Chicago Tribune, KDAF-TV (Dallas), Pasadena Sun, Glendale News Press, and KTUU-TV (Alaska). Thanks, Anita, for sharing such a wonderful story!
Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 11:10AM Allen Breed of the Associated Press has a long story reflecting on our co-author Lisa Freeman and the death of Army Sgt. 1st Class Daniel Metcalfe, the 2,000th American servicemember lost in Afghanistan.
The piece has been picked up by many outlets, including ABC News, the Seattle Times, the Houston Chronicle, the Mercury News, the Anchorage Daily News, The Columbian, The Repository (Canton, OH) and the CT Post.
It's a sobering look at the personal cost of the war in Afghanistan, and it's well worth the read.
